Husk heats up the Winter Fashion Show

Incase you haven’t noticed already, I love shopping! It seems that I’m not alone, especially with the promise of huge discounts. So it was that the Husk Street & Surf Winter Fashion Show was a resounding success.

Feeling a little bit like a vogue editor at fashion week i took my seat with the other local shoppers. We were in for a treat! With champagne flowing and nibbles offered we waited for the music to begin and the models to begin parading down the runway.

An array of local models, guys & girls, as well as the ‘international model’ Laura O’Hare (more on her later) strutted their stuff in the new season stock available at Husk. My picks of the night include the gorgeous yellow and orange knits, the wet look jeans and the Hurley 2/4 sleeve top for the both the men and women.

I apologize in advance for the picture quality, they are all taken on the iPad.

The crowds waiting for the show to start.

The yellow knit above was a favourite from the collection.

As for the men there was a great range colored men's jeans, 3/4 length sleeve tops and flannel shirts that are all on trend this coming winter. I especially loved the 'regatta' green jeans seen here bottom right.

After the show shoppers practically ran through the doors as they were opened for huge discounted shopping. It was like Myer on Boxing Day morning.

A huge congratulations to Jen & Kendall and all their helpers, all your hard work paid off.

As promised here’s more of Laura O’Hare. The Irish lass definitely added some entertainment value to the parade, dancing up and down the runway like she was Beyonce in concert. Even a tumble in her sparkling six inch heels cluldn’t stop her
